Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1 Presidents Institute A/S (hereinafter “PI”) is a company registered in Denmark at Sølvgade 10, 1307 Copenhagen K, Denmark with registered company number 39980126.

1.2 The following terms and conditions apply to anyone attending or intending to attend any PI event and membership, from the date of publishing until these terms are superseded by a new version. PI may update these terms at any time for legal or regulatory reasons, or to reflect changes in PI services or business practices.

2. Membership and renewal

2.1 To become a member, you must be approved by our Admission Team. Once approved, the membership is being agreed upon by both the Admissions Team and the member him-/herself.
2.2 The membership is initiated after written or verbal consent has been given by the member.
2.3 When initiated, the member will receive a confirmation email after approval. PI reserves the rights to cancel any membership in the event of incorrect or incomplete payment or any other irregularities.
2.4 Membership in PI includes access to five networks meeting over a one year period and access to our online universe with contact information for other members as well as meeting information. Some memberships may include other services such as access to conferences or events.
2.5. Any membership is an agreement between the organisation of the member and PI, and the organisation will be considered contractually liable for any membership fees. The member is considered an agent of her/his organisation
2.6 Memberships are renewed automatically every 12 months unless PI has received a written cancellation of membership. The invoice for the coming year will be sent to the member’s organisation prior to the membership end date.
2.7 If the organisation or the member does not wish to continue their membership, he/she should simply contact Presidents Institute on info@presidents.eu latest 30 days before the membership end date. If the member (or the member’s organisation) does not contact Presidents Institute the latest 30 days before the membership end date, the membership will be extended for another year automatically.    

3. Payment terms
3.1 Our payment terms are 10 working days (unless otherwise agreed and detailed in the supplied sales confirmation)
3.2 In the event of overdue payments, we reserve the right to hold the individual responsible for securing the payment from its current or prior employer or alternatively be personally liable for the payment

4. Refund, cancellation and termination
4.1 All sales are final upon agreement and no refunds will be provided.
4.2 Should you wish to terminate your membership can this be achieved by sending an e-mail with your request to info@presidents.eu – refunds will not be provided.

5. Changes to events
5.1 For reasons beyond PI’s control, it may be required that we cancel or alter an event’s advertised format, content, location and/or timing. PI reserves the right to this at any time. In cases where PI cancels an event or changes the date or location of the event, PI will inform all confirmed delegates in due time.
5.2 PI is not liable for any travel, accommodation and/or other costs or expenses incurred by the delegates if PI, or any of our partners, as hosts, is required to relocate, cancel, postpone or alter the event in any other way.

6. Content and confidentiality
6.1 Any content such as presentations, documentation, and materials is at all times owned by PI or is included with the permission of the owner of the rights. No filming, recording, photographing or republication, broadcast or other dissemination of the content is permitted. Furthermore it is not allowed to at any time reproduce, modify, distribute, store, transfer or in any other way use any of the content, this includes upload of any content into any shared system, database or website as well as transmitting, re-circulating or otherwise making content available to anyone else.
6.2 To the extent that any content is made available by us online, we reserve the right to suspend or remove access to such content at any time.
6.3 You at all times acknowledge that PI will be entitled to record, film or photograph any event and agree to waive any rights arising under the laws of any jurisdiction. You grant us an irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to make such use of your name, voice, biography and likeness in any media and any recording, filming or photography of the event as reasonably required in connection with the exploitation, advertising, and promotion of the event and PI.
6.4 The member agrees not to use or disclose to any person, either during or at any time after their membership or event participation, any confidential information that the member learns about the Company or its business, other members or vendors that it learns in connecting with participation in the network or event.

8. Email Marketing
8.1 PI holds the right to opt in current and past members, providing them with relevant marketing material, such as newsletters, promotions and offers by PI or any of PI’s trusted partners.
8.2 Any current or past member has the right to opt out of any email marketing provided by PI.
8.3 PI cannot be held responsible for any marketing material sent by current or past partners.

9. Vendors and partnerships
9.1 Our payment terms are 30 days towards vendors including but not limited to venues, speakers, executive directors, unless otherwise agreed in a separate contract.
9.2 We require our vendors to provide documentation for the services provided including the specific group or event that the service relates to.
9.3 We reserve the right to share required information with vendors or partners in the event that payments are overdue with the specific purpose of collecting the overdue payments.

10. Other
10.1 PI is not responsible for any loss or damage to any person or any personal property directly or indirectly resulting from any of PI’s events or activities.
10.2 If these terms are violated, we reserve the right to seek compensation for any damages resulting from the violation, including resulting reduction in the value of our company, offerings or the reputation of PI as well as any claims that PI will be held liable to as a result of the violations from any of our current or former members, vendors or event participants or other parties as a consequence of the terms violations.

10.3. Disputes between PI and members registered in Denmark or Finland shall be subject to and governed by Danish law. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, including disputes regarding the validity or the termination and the validity of this provision on choice of law and jurisdiction, shall be exclusively brought before the city court in Kolding.

10.4. Disputes between PI and members registered in Sweden shall be subject to and governed by Swedish law. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, including disputes regarding the validity or the termination and the validity of this provision on choice of law and jurisdiction, shall be exclusively brought before the court in Sweden.
